I graduate high school in 2022. Even though I am only a freshman, I already know what I want to do In the future. Once I graduate, I want to go to college at the University of Southern California. The reason I got so interested in this school is because my cousin went there, and my other cousin is going there next year. Even before I wanted to go to USC, I knew I wanted to go to college somewhere in California. I don’t know why but I just love California and the weather there is beautiful. My brother also goes to college in Santa Barbara, which is also a very pretty and welcoming place. Once I am in California, I would like to study something in the medical field. Maybe becoming Pediatrician or even a marine biologist. I am already so excited to go to California for college and start a new chapter in my life.
My Tragic Ear Piercing Story..
During the summer, I pierced a second hole in my ear! I waited until my parent were out of town because I knew they didn’t want me to have a second piercing. I went up into my room, and got a thumbtack out of my wall. I didn’t sterilize the needle or dot a hole on my ear. I just got the tack, picked a spot on my ear, and stuck it through my ear lobe. Then, I moved on to the second ear. Again, I didn’t dot my ear or sterilize the needle. I just stuck it through. There was no blood or anything. I took the needle out, and replaced it with an earring, and did the same with my other ear. Surprisingly, my ears didn’t get infected at all! My mom was incredibly angry at me, but I convinced her to let me keep it. But, I still wouldn’t recommend this strategy because there is a great chance of getting an infection and going to the doctor. I was very lucky..
My Drivers Ed Experience
I took drivers ed from march 7-10. It started at 8am everyday and ended at 4pm. That makes a total of 32 hours spent on learning about driving. If you ask me, thats a crazy amount of time to be spent in a classroom. We got breaks every hour or so, and had lunch at 12pm. Lunch was my favorite part of the day. You are given three options: Canes, Dominos, and China Kitchen. I had Dominos the first day, Canes the second day, China Kitchen the third, and Canes the last day. Other than that, drivers ed was a terrible experience. I had so much trouble staying awake for the majority of the day. At least I had my friends to entertain me. Everyday after the class, I was extremely exhausted! Not to mention I had school the day after the coarse was over. I took a nap everyday after class and couldn’t sleep in. If you ask me, I did not have a fun time at drivers education.
My Trip to Yosemite
Two weeks ago, I left for a trip to Yosemite National Park with my 9th grade class. we left January 20th, and came home on the 25th. We flew to San Jose, California and got on a bus to Yosemite. When we got there it was cold and rainy, and I was very grateful for the heated cabins. We ate dinner, and then got settled into our new temporary living space. The next day I woke up and the outside looked like a winter wonderland, I felt like I was in a movie. It snowed all night and everything looked beautiful. We got to hike all day and have some snowball fights. On Tuesday, the snow started to melt and the ground got icy. We got to cross country ski all day, which was so fun and challenging. Wednesday was our challenge hike day, which was very difficult but worth seeing the beautiful view of Yosemite falls. Once we finished the hike, we packed our things and got on our bus to our next location in Yosemite. When we got there, we unpacked and ate a delicious dinner. For our last day, we got to hike to the enormous sequoias and play in the snow. I had such an amazing time with all my friends and it was such a great experience to see so many new things that I can’t see back home!
Should You Watch “Black Mirror”?
If you are like me, then it probably takes you hours to find a good binge-worthy show on Netflix. But once you find one, you cannot move yourself from the couch. A great tv show to start off 2019 is “Black Mirror”. Black Mirror is a TV-MA, sci fi, British tv show that is high-tech and near future based. Each episode is a different story with different characters, but always has a crazy plot twist in every story. When watching Black Mirror, you never know what will happen. Which is probably why it has such a large audience. Although some viewers may not think this particular tv show is entertaining, it has caught many people’s attention over the years. So, if you are wanting to start a new series, or just wanting to watch a smaller version of a movie, then I would highly recommend watching Black Mirror!
3 Starbucks Holiday Drinks You Need To Try This Season
Starbucks holiday drinks are back! Everyone loves the holidays, and there’s no better way to get into the Christmas spirit by having a Starbucks holiday drink! These are some drinks that are so festive for Christmas!
Christmas Tree Frappuccino

The first drink is called the “Christmas Tree Frappuccino”. It honestly cannot get more festive than this. This drink is a peppermint mocha creme with a twist. The drink is topped with green matcha whipped cream, to make it look like a Christmas tree. With drizzled caramel (garland), and dried cranberries (ornaments). Honestly how can you not try this drink!
Eggnog Latte

This is a Starbucks classic. It’s definitely for someone who loves a hot coffee with plenty of spices! This drink is basically just a mix of steamed eggnog and espresso, with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
Snickerdoodle Hot Cocoa

This is known for being just like a liquified cookie. How can anyone resist the sweet taste of a snickerdoodle with loads of chocolate syrup. And to top it off, whipped cream with cinnamon!
The Siberian Husky
Huskies are a handful, I should know because I own one. But, what most people don’t know, is their background heritage. Centuries ago, the main purpose of owning a husking was to pull sleds in Siberia. They also thrived in herding reindeer and protecting their owners. Huskies were later brought to Alaska for sled dog races. Even though huskies may be intimidating by their wolf appearance, they are actually very gentle, friendly, and happy. One thing I have learned from owning a husky Is that they have unlimited energy, and they LOVE to run. So, if you are someone who is very outdoorsy and loves to go on runs, then a husky is a perfect companion for you. When you think of a husky, you probably think of them as a tall and big dog. But actually, huskies tend to be short and stocky, to pull sleds. Since huskies have a background of living in unbearable temperatures, their coat is extremely thick and can withstand temperatures as low as -75F. Huskies have a double coat, which means one coat keeps them warm, and the other keeps them cool. That is one reason why you cannot shave a husky, because their life could be at risk. Also, their coat can shed enormous amount of fur every day! So, it may be a good idea to take him/her to the groomer often.
